Optical Code Ownership Transfer

*Assigned to Eventi  LLC

The problem

Optical codes can be replicated. An added layer of security should be added.

The solution

Two devices scan the same QR code during a common time window. If those devices are in the same place then a transfer of ownership or authentication is enabled. The QR code can be created by a certification authority or the originator of said document or object. A chain of ownership is created and maintained in the system.

An optical code is created* and associated with a document or an object (artwork or another asset)  and an Owner.

1. Owner of said document or object scans said QR code with a mobile application.

2. Beneficiary scans said QR code with the same mobile application.

Are the two actions occurring in the same place and within a time window?

If yes then:

Allow authentication of document/object AND/OR allow transfer ownership of document /object/ asset for the benefit of Beneficiary.

*A central authentication authority controls the initial production or distribution of codes.

The benefits

Any business in need of tracking ownership, facilitating the transfer of ownership, and allowing authentication of documents and objects.

A few examples are artwork certifications, diamonds certifications, title documents, and much more.

Examples of revenue streams:

–Fees on ownership transactions via mobile

–Fees on authentications via mobile

–Tracking of ownership of objects and documents in time and space plus service to owners or potential buyers

–It can track the ownership history of objects such as artwork and, e.g., initiate payments of residual rights to artists when the transfer occurs.
